Hey thanks , what is MA cross strategy?

What type of indicators is simple and best for beginners like me , i tried to use MA, Bollinger bands , and Volume, but for some reasons it does not give me good forecast maybe i did not get a proper MA

Someone please tell me how to get a correct MA for a M15 period.

Cheers All.

MA cross strategy (my guess is How to analyze Moving Averages:
http://www.alpari.co.uk/en/market-an...g-average.html
  • Find Moving Average and price chart cross-point. If the price line crosses the Moving Average line from below, then this is a signal to buy. If it crosses from above, then it is time to sell.
  • Note that Moving Average usually moves in the direction of the prevailing trend.
  • Find points which occur after Moving Average tops or bottoms. There is a high possibility of a reversal.
  • Find points where the divergence between Moving Average and price is widest.
If you do not have other confirmations it is not recommended to open positions against the Moving Average's direction.
Moving Average signals are more effective on a trend market and less effective when the market is flat. As MA is a lagging indicator, it gives many false alarms.

One of my indicator is
Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) = easy to understand!

Hey thanks for the link. I have gone through it all i understand it , but how to find a correct MA for M15

If i go to the MA from the indicator it is set to Period 14 which i am not sure if this is the period one should use and i guess if the period if not correct or MA is not correct one might get false signals .

I think am right to use MA with bollinger bands?

Thanks.
