Default Importing historical data

Hello,

I have successfully imported the 1min data from the Alpari-data-bank.
My question is now, how to update all the other charts (5min, 15min, etc.) based on these 1min data. I know that there is a certain way, but don't remember anymore.
Help would be appreciated.

Michael

Default How To Set Up Metatrader History Data And Get 90% Backtesting Quality

Here is a very detailed article on downloading and importing quality minute data into MetaTrader.

How To Set Up MetaTrader History Data And Get 90% Backtesting Quality

This article has a link to high quality real Alpari tick data.

Make sure you don't just click the "download" button on MetaTrader in the History Center because the data from MetaTrader is not good.

Great resource... and by following article one gets data from 2001-2009.

question
Possible to keep data up-to-date?

I always crank up the 'testing' MT4 and hit escape key twice to cancel the create an account + login popups. I am guessing that since no login there is no server comms and as such the 01-09 data although a large amount (noticeable by the long startup time is not going to get updated unless done manually by further downloads (similar to the above mentioned article)

question
Anyone else 'added to' this 01-09 history data OR added other ccy's to it?
